    My research interests include Computer Systems, Distributed Systems, Networking and Software-Defind Networking, Cloud Computing, Virtualization, Energy Efficiency, Soft Computing and Fuzzy Systems. Currently I am working on traffic engineering and network slicing in SDN-enabled Clouds.

    Editor-in-Chief Prof. Peter Sloot appointed me as the editor of the top-tier Future Generation Computer Systems(FGCS) journal, the second-best ranked journal in computing systems according to Google Scholar.

    I have been appointed as the co-chair of the 18th Australasian Symposium on Parallel and Distributed Computing (AusPDC 2020).


      Monash AgTech Priming Grant  

      August 2019  

    My priming grant research project on Solar-powered Edge Computing Platform for Automated Pest Bird Repellent System has been awarded $25,000 by Monash AgTech. The project will develop the prototype that can be deployed on the Bosch launchpad site.


      Accepted paper in ICSOC 2019  

      July 2019  

    Our paper entitled “Optimized Renewable Energy Use in Green Cloud Data Centers” has been accepted for publication in the 17th International Conference on Service-Oriented Computing as a Full Paper in Research Track. The paper selection process for ICSOC 2019 has been highly competetive, and among 183 initial submissions, only 28 papers were accepted as full papers (15% acceptance rate).

      Chair of FIT ECA Committee

    I have been appointed as the Chair of Faculty of Information Technology (FIT) Early Career Academics (ECA) Committee for the next twoyears. Other commitee members include: Pierre Le Bodic as ECA Rep on central committee, Mahsa Salehi and Julian Garcia as ECA Reps for Faculty Education Committees, Li Li and Leimin Tian as ECA Reps for Faculty Research Committees, Amin Sakzad and Xingliang Yuan as ECA Reps for academic staff development committee.

    Our project has been awarded the highly competitive 2018 Monash Infrastructure Interdisciplinary Research Seed Funding Grant.
